On Sunday October 3rd, 2010 Professor Roy Behrens of University of Northern Iowa presented a lecture on the legacy and inspirations of Grant Wood, the Iowa artist most famous for his painting American Gothic. It was a fun and informative afternoon, with lots of rare pictures of Grant Wood! The next event in our FREE Lecture Series will be held Wednesday October 20th at 7 pm at the Council Bluffs Public Library (400 Willow). Dr. Gregg Narber, Asst. Professor of History at Luther College, will present his lecture, entitled "Grant Wood's Eppley Hotel Murals: A Style in Transition." Come and join us!
